Living many years in different Countries I have grown the ability to be open to different points of view and ways of being, helping people, coming from different cultures or backgroungs, to overcome the mutual cultural barriers. I work as a Counselor since 2006 in the following areas: - Interculture & Migration - Counseling for Men - Relational well-being & effective Communication The systemic approach on which my professional training has been based, integrated to a pluralistic perspective acquired during a master in “Intercultural Counseling”, offers me a wider range of action to be taken depending on the work’s environment, the problem, the client and his culture. Our behavior is based on our learnings. To change behavior requires learning things from new. To accomplish new learnings we need a purpose. Through a constructive, non-judgmental and collaborative dialogue, I promote Client's experimentation of new practical solutions, enhancing the resources of each individual to overcome his problem and move forward. You can book session after session or you can have a program conveniently arranged to your needs.

I come from a southern Italian family which migrated to Milan in the early ’60 to satisfy their desire for independence from their family and local context. I was born and raised in Milan with no rigid mindset. In the '90 I left my work in Italy and I took the opportunity to satisfy my curiosity to see the world. I have spent several years between Asia and Central America, living as Expat together with my partner in 4 different countries, while visiting many others. I experienced the difficulties of fitting into a new context, feeling lost and lonely, getting used to different cultural habits and behaviors. I came to understand what it means to be willing to meet with others, to be open to dialogue respecting mutual differences and specificities, aware of the value of my needs and experiences as those of others. I also witnessed the asking for help and the difficulties of getting the help that meets your needs . It is not a coincidence that who I am is tied to what I do. I become a professional Counselor in 2005 after my relocation in Italy, the birth of my son, after having worked 10 years in fashion and advertising and 10 years of life as an Expat. I moved to Switzerland with my family in 2011 where I currently live. I can provide Counseling in different languages: Italian, English, Spanish, French

Experience

Along with a private practice I worked on different projects, I conceived and implemented some financed by public institutions or private organizations to the benefit of: * IMMIGRANTS WOMEN AND FAMILIES - 2008-2012 Hospital "Macedonio Melloni", Milan, Italy, and "Cooperativa il Mosaico", Lumezzane (BS), Italy. The projects were in favor of migrant women with children, or single women in high need mainly regarding health, pregnancy and maternity, neglect and violence. The projects offered personalized support plans in public health facilities and/or private organizations to which the women relied on. The projects provided also some specific trainings to operators and professionals that interfaced in the care. In supporting migrant women's Intercultural Counseling intervention offered a better understanding of the situations and the needs, avoiding misleading interpretations. * EMT RESCUERS - 2006-2010 - Croce Verde APM, Croce Rosa Celeste, Croce Verde Sempione, Milan, Italy. The project was carried out for 3 years by providing rescuers' crews with specific training and individual support to better accomplish their duties while facing difficulties during the emergency interventions. * TRAINING ACTIVITY - 2009-12: Lecturing on topics: "Intercultural Counseling", "Stereotypes, prejudices and communication", "The collage technique: use and effectiveness of a non-verbal communication".
