I believe that most of the issues and challenges in life are related to conditions of the human existence, such as choice, the freedom and responsibility to shape one's life, anxiety, isolation and relationships, and the search for meaning and life. I believe that human beings all have the potential to achieve self-actualization. I believe in our innate ability to feel fulfilled by shaping what is already there. Through this practice, we can form both the world and the self. And I believe that we only achieve contentment when we integrate and accept all parts of ourselves – the good and the bad. I am an existentialist counselor putting an emphasis on the use of arts-based counseling modalities.

For me counseling, besides addressing your immediate problem, is about healing and achieving well-being; it is about becoming a ‘whole’ person; and finding meaning and contentment. I do work with adults and children.

We all have personal weaknesses and are susceptible to sadness, negative energy from others, and occasional feelings of helplessness about the troubles of the world. But it is our choice to focus more on laughter, celebration, and the depths of life. Overall, life is beautiful. I am not talking about superficial, aesthetic beauty. What I mean is a deeper kind of beauty. One that makes you feel excited about being alive, that allows you to be inspired and be an inspiration, that shows your connectedness to other human beings.

I work with children (age 4 and up) and adults. I follow an existentialist framework integrating techniques from Expressive Arts, Gestalt Play Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, and Yoga.
